\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tA Mother\u2019s Love Knows No Bounds!<\/em><\/strong>

Alpina\u2019s love for her two newborn cubs knows no fear, despair or obstacle. Although she had to face her fear of humans, the busy roads of a popular mountain resort and countless other dangers, the mother bear stopped at nothing. Day after day, she begged for food near the hotels in Poiana Bra\u0219ov so that she could feed her two newborn cubs.

Calmly enduring hunger and fear, she encouraged her little ones to eat whatever they could find around the hotel bins. However, people became frightened by the bear family\u2019s presence and alerted the authorities, who captured Alpina and her cubs.

Alpina and her two little ones were taken into the care of the Millions of Friends Association and brought to the AMP Libearty Sanctuary.

Here, they were welcomed with care. The vets made sure they were in good health, and the mother and her cubs were dewormed, vaccinated and microchipped before spending a few days in quarantine to adjust to their new surroundings.

Today, Alpina can care for her cubs in peace, while the little ones are free to romp and play in a specially designed enclosure! The WILD enclosures are designed for wild bears that can no longer be relocated to the forest and would be killed if we could not take them into the sanctuary. These enclosures require additional safety systems. Each acclimatisation area needs two electric fence circuits powered by separate sources. <\/strong>

Our Mission Continues\u2014Be Part of Their Rescue!

Alpina and her two cubs will spend the rest of their lives at the Libearty Sanctuary. From now on, they will need a balanced diet, vitamins and supplements<\/strong>.

The cubs will remain with their mother in a specially designed enclosure for two years, until they are ready to join the other bears at the sanctuary. They now have the chance to live a true bear\u2019s life in the forests of Libearty!
