Times are difficult. The cost of food, medicine and electricity has risen dramatically, while income continues to fall. The 130 bears at the AMP Libearty Sanctuary eat 2 tones of food every day!
Before being rescued, most of the sanctuary’s residents were given insufficient, poor-quality food—or even fizzy drinks, beer and fast food. They therefore need a balanced, nutrient-rich diet made up of food that is as natural and healthy as possible.
The bears at the AMP Libearty Sanctuary are fed vegetables, fruit, grains, specially formulated pellets, dairy products, eggs, meat and honey every day!
As a result, feeding one bear at the AMP Libearty Sanctuary costs approximately €15 per day, meaning that keeping the pantry fully stocked requires more than €1,800 per day!
