The sanctuary where rescue becomes
a second chance at life
Founded by the Millions of Friends Association, AMP Victory is one of Romania’s first and most important centers dedicated to rescuing stray dogs.
Since 1997, its mission has remained the same: to rescue, treat, and protect abandoned, injured, or unwanted animals and give them a genuine second chance.
Over the years, more than 35,000 dogs have been sheltered, treated, and adopted through the dedicated work of the AMP team.
For many of them, AMP Victory was the first place where they received regular food, medical treatment, safety, warmth, patience, and caring human contact without fear.
Spaying and neutering save lives
The spaying and neutering of mixed-breed dogs is mandatory under Law No. 258/2013.
Spaying and neutering are the simplest, most humane, and most effective ways to prevent abandonment and suffering.
Most stray animals were not born on the streets. They are puppies that were abandoned because no one prevented their birth.
The Millions of Friends Association runs ongoing spay and neuter campaigns in Brașov and nearby communities, with the support of its partners and the Brigitte Bardot Foundation.
Each procedure means:
- compliance with the law and avoiding fines ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 lei;
- fewer stray dogs;
- fewer animals ending up in shelters;
- a reduced risk of cancer and other serious illnesses in animals;
- fewer behavioral problems when animals are in heat.
Adoption changes lives
For a rescued dog, adoption means more than simply leaving a shelter.
It means family, safety, affection, and belonging!
