Alisa spent the first seven years of her life at the circus, where she learned the sound and the stiffness of the trainer’s whip. When she was no longer needed, she was taken to a zoo in Ukraine. Here, her ordeal continued! Pulled out from under the spotlight, it was used as a breeding machine. The little ones were sold fast and she had to start over, year after year. At one point she began to go blind. It didn’t matter to anyone so she didn’t get treated.. .Just like that she has completely gone blind. At almost 28 Alisa got a second chance at a normal life. On November 12, 2020, both she and the father of her cubs, Timka, felt the ground under their paws for the first time in the AMP Liberearty forest.
