Jimmy was a prisoner for 11 years in a small concrete and iron cage in the court yard of a bread factory in Arcuș, Covasna county. With him was his sister Jexie. The factory owner said that he rescued the two bears while chased by a dog pack and he took them in custody. Unfortunately this owner decided to keep the bears as pets. They grew up, and the cage had became little by little, unfitted for two mature bears. They even had cubs together but what happened with them is a mystery. In 2012, Jimmy and Jexie were confiscated with the help of National Environmental Guard and released in Libearty Sanctuary.
