Jofi lived for six years in a “cell”, innocently sentenced to a heaven full of bars. She was taken there by several locals who found her alone, without a mother, on the side of the road. She shared with 5 other bears a space far too small for their needs. From time to time, by rotating with the others, she was left to enjoy the outdoor space for a few days. She arrived at the sanctuary in 2007.

Your donation contributes to the bears’ food, veterinary care, habitat maintenance and overall well-being, while also helping us rescue other bears still living in captivity.
