Seven days of fear and waiting in vain… after wandering through the forest for his murdered mother… the found cub of the Transfăgărășan veteran arrived at the AMP Libearty Zărnești sanctuary.

We received him with trembling arms and a heavy heart: he is dehydrated, malnourished, exhausted and terrified. His little body bears the traces of a suffering that no animal, no child of the forest, should know.

But no matter how much care we offer him now, no one and nothing will be able to soothe his longing for the one who gave him life and protected him to the end and for his two brothers, perhaps still alive, lost in the wild, scared…

This cub survived. For the other two, hope remains alive!

We cannot change the past, but we can fight for what can still be saved.

What Is the Adoption Certificate?

An adoption certificate is a symbolic way to support a bear at the AMP Libearty Sanctuary through a one-off donation of a fixed amount. As a token of our gratitude, you will receive a personalised digital certificate by email, featuring the name of your chosen bear and the adopter’s name.

Your donation contributes to the bears’ food, veterinary care, habitat maintenance and overall well-being, while also helping us rescue other bears still living in captivity.

The certificate can also be given as a gift to someone special, making it a meaningful way to celebrate an important occasion while supporting a worthy cause.

What Does Sponsoring a Bear Mean?

Sponsoring a bear is a symbolic gesture through which you contribute to the care and well-being of rescued bears at the AMP Libearty Sanctuary. Your monthly donation helps cover the costs of food, veterinary care, habitat maintenance and all the resources needed to give the bears a safe and peaceful life.

It is a simple way to support the bears month after month and give them the chance to live with dignity, far from the suffering they endured in captivity.

Why sponsor a bear?

Every bear at the AMP Libearty Sanctuary has a story. Many were rescued from tiny cages, inadequate zoos or other captive environments where they endured years of suffering. Through sponsoring, you become part of their journey towards healing.

You will receive regular email updates about your adopted bear, including photographs and news about life at the sanctuary. This allows you to follow their progress and see the difference your support makes each month.

  • Set up recurring payments through the donation platform. Future payments will be processed automatically.
  • You will receive confirmation by email, along with the adoption documents.
