In a garden in Prahova County, a heartbreaking cry broke the silence of the night. A bear cub, small and fragile, had been trapped in a wire fence. For hours he struggled there, alone and scared, calling in vain for his mother. But she never came back… no one knows what happened to her.
Without her protection, the cub’s life hung by a thread, being easy prey for other wild animals, but also for the dogs from the nearby sheepfolds. And yet, the destiny of Alain, as we called him, changed the moment he was found and brought safely to the AMP Libearty Sanctuary.
Alain arrived at the special enclosure for orphaned cubs and found solace alongside three others with equally painful stories: Luci, Barbara and Tizian. Together, they began to play, become friends and discover what childhood means again.
His name was chosen as a tribute to Alain Delon, the discreet actor with a huge heart, who always proved that love for animals can change destinies and who was a good friend to the animals in the care of the Million Friends Association.
