All for them!

A mother’s love has no limits!

And the love of Alpina for the two new borns has no fear, despair or any other stops! Even though she had to face the fear of humans, the traffic in a very crowded mountain resort and lots of other dangers, the mama bear did everything in her power and she begged daily near the hotels in Poiana Brasov to feed her two new borns. Calm, she endured serene the fear and the hunger while she was pushing her babies to eat everything they could find at the dumpsters around the hotels in Poiana Brasov.  Yet, the people feared when they say the bears family and they called the authorities that captured her together with the cubs. Alpina and the two little cubs were taken over by the Millions of Friends Association and lead to The AMP Libearty Sanctuary!

Here they were welcomed with all the care! The vets made sure they are healthy, the mama and babies were dewormed, vaccine and microchipped and then, they spent a few accommodation days in quarantine.

Today, Alpina can peacefully take care of her cubs and the little ones can play wherever they like in an enclosure specially designed for them! The WILD enclosures, dedicate to bears from the wild that can’t be rehabilitated anymore in the forest and would be killed if we didn’t receive them in the Sanctuary need extra security systems! Each accommodation area like this needs two electrical circuits, powered by different suppliers!

Our mission is ongoing! Be part of their rescue! Alpina and her two cubs will live the rest of their lives in the Libearty Sanctuary and from now on they will need complete food, vitamins and supplements! The babies will live in the special enclosure for 2 years until they will be able to live together with the other bears in the Sanctuary. But they have the chance for a true bear life, in the Libearty forest!
