Zorro was found wandering on the streets of Codlea. He was only a few months old and his mother was probably shot by the hunters. Someone took him to a private zoo in Râșnov. There he was bottle fed with goat milk and cared for. He was kept by a private person as a pet until the cub began to grow and show signs of aggressiveness. Only at that moment, the man decided to give him up and asked the Sanctuary to take over this bear. In 2010 when he arrived to the sanctuary, Zorro was 10 months old, very active and hungry all the time. He soon became a spoiled baby getting the Libearty staff’s attention. He is very sociable and he befriended immediately with the other bearss having a great time together, every day.

Adopt Zorro with a minimum donation of 5 euros / month (60 euros / year). With this contribution, we can ensure that the adopted bear has a honey jar every month. When you finish the donation for a year, we will send you an adoption certificate.

We appreciate if you can support a greater part of the need for the bear’s care. If you represent a company, you can adopt a bear exclusively with a donation of 600 euro / month. The company's logo, accompanied by the name of the adopted bear, will be placed in the sanctuary. Over 30,000 visitors will see that the company you represent is involved in animal welfare.
