Few days ago, we received a call that broke our hearts. A bear cub, only a few months old, had been found alone, without its mother, extremely emaciated, dehydrated and starving.
When it arrived at the care of the AMP Libearty team, its condition was critical. It weighed only 4 kilograms, although at its age it should have weighed at least twice that. It was so emaciated that its back legs trembled with every step, and no one knew if it would survive.
But this little one is a true fighter.
Day after day, he fought for every meal. For every safer step. For another day of life.In his first week in the care of the AMP Libearty sanctuary team, he gained over a kilogram in weight.It may not seem like much, but for a bear cub on the verge of survival, it means a lot. It means strength. It means a chance at a future. It means his fight is starting to pay off. But the road is far from over.
The little one still needs special food, constant care and careful monitoring to fully recover.That’s why we need your help.
