Florentina - Asociația Milioane de Prieteni

Florentina lived for 18 years at a Zoo in Bucuresti. After her mother was killed she was locked up in a small cage. She grew bigger as time went on and her cage became too small. The years have passed and she started losing her hopes and dreams about being free again. She even refused to eat. She lost weight and all she did lately was to sleep.

Because of her bad psychical condition, in July 2008 the owner of the zoo decided to take Florentina to the Sanctuary. She recovered miraculously in just few weeks. Despite her age, she still loves climbing the trees and playing with younger bears. Is she trying to recover her lost childhood?

Adopt Florentina with a minimum donation of 5 euros / month (60 euros / year). With this contribution, we can ensure that the adopted bear has a honey jar every month. When you finish the donation for a year, we will send you an adoption certificate.

We appreciate if you can support a greater part of the need for the bear’s care. If you represent a company, you can adopt a bear exclusively with a donation of 600 euro / month. The company's logo, accompanied by the name of the adopted bear, will be placed in the sanctuary. Over 30,000 visitors will see that the company you represent is involved in animal welfare.
