Mary - Asociația Milioane de Prieteni

Mary is one of the two bears, imprisoned in cages at the “Lutsch 2000” Gas Station in Sibiu County. Some people used to stop here only to see the bears and accepted to pay some money in order to have a nice photo of a live bear. It was practically a mini zoo owned by the owner of the gas station. Here Mary survived for 2 years. A two years old bear named Vasilică, an older resident of this zoo, kept her company until the spring of 2007, when she was released to the Sanctuary.
Here she found new friends, plenty of food and the forest which offers all the bears a refuge, is now her forever-home.

Adopt Mary with a minimum donation of 5 euros / month (60 euros / year). With this contribution, we can ensure that the adopted bear has a honey jar every month. When you finish the donation for a year, we will send you an adoption certificate.

We appreciate if you can support a greater part of the need for the bear’s care. If you represent a company, you can adopt a bear exclusively with a donation of 600 euro / month. The company's logo, accompanied by the name of the adopted bear, will be placed in the sanctuary. Over 30,000 visitors will see that the company you represent is involved in animal welfare.
