April 2015. The entire country was captivated by the adventures of a little bear of only 80 kilograms, with shiny fur, which – fell like from the sky – had ventured into the middle of Sibiu. Just like the character of the movie ′′ Paddington ′′ the little one was crossing the streets and jumping the fences that came his way – all to avoid people and dogs. Authorities went on alert and the bear was scared with firecrackers and police horns, so he hid in a basement.

When the AMP rescue team arrived on scene, the little bear almost seemed happy to discover the hidden apples in the straw bed of the transport cage.

Now he is enjoying the 69 hectares of oak forest the largest brown bear sanctuary in the world, away from the noise and hustle of the city that almost brought its end.

Adopt Paddington with a minimum donation of 5 euros / month (60 euros / year). With this contribution, we can ensure that the adopted bear has a honey jar every month. When you finish the donation for a year, we will send you an adoption certificate.

We appreciate if you can support a greater part of the need for the bear’s care. If you represent a company, you can adopt a bear exclusively with a donation of 600 euro / month. The company's logo, accompanied by the name of the adopted bear, will be placed in the sanctuary. Over 30,000 visitors will see that the company you represent is involved in animal welfare.
