The handsome Ursi deserves the name of the grumpiest resident of the AMP Libearty sanctuary. An understated presence with a distinctive facial expression, large head and unique gaze, with short fur that glistens in the sunlight, Ursi is visitors favourite.

Ursi and his sister Bobița were found in the forest when they were only a few days old and were taken to the Roman Zoo. For four years they lived on concrete looking sadly from behind thick bars at the people who came to see them. In the summer of 2006 they arrived in the sanctuary forest and their lives changed.

Adopt Ursi with a minimum donation of 5 euros / month (60 euros / year). With this contribution, we can ensure that the adopted bear has a honey jar every month. When you finish the donation for a year, we will send you an adoption certificate.

We appreciate if you can support a greater part of the need for the bear’s care. If you represent a company, you can adopt a bear exclusively with a donation of 600 euro / month. The company's logo, accompanied by the name of the adopted bear, will be placed in the sanctuary. Over 30,000 visitors will see that the company you represent is involved in animal welfare.
