Mia - Asociația Milioane de Prieteni

Mia was only 10 months old and 70 Kilos when she arrived to the Sanctuary in November 2011. A ranger from the Mâneciu forestry found the helpless cub in the forest after her mother was killed and contacted the “Libearty” Bear Sanctuary. As she was too small in both age and size, Mia had to spend several months in the quarantine area before being released in the training area. Here she spent some time with Monica, and later was released in the third enclosure. At the moment she lives a happy life climbing trees and enjoying the fresh water from the pool where she can often be seen bathing and playing with some oak branches.

This bear is not available for adoption.

Adopt Mia with a minimum donation of 5 euros / month (60 euros / year). With this contribution, we can ensure that the adopted bear has a honey jar every month. When you finish the donation for a year, we will send you an adoption certificate.

We appreciate if you can support a greater part of the need for the bear’s care. If you represent a company, you can adopt a bear exclusively with a donation of 600 euro / month. The company's logo, accompanied by the name of the adopted bear, will be placed in the sanctuary. Over 30,000 visitors will see that the company you represent is involved in animal welfare.
