Project Description

Puppy and Pamy are brother and sister. Found in 2002 in the forest, without a mother or a father to protect them, they were easily taken away and thrown in cages near a pension at Straja Resort (Hunedoara County). For 5 years there was no visitor or tourist complaining about the 2 encaged bears who grumbled every night, because they were starving, or had no more water to drink, or they were simply nervous because the cages were too small for them. Finally someone “noticed” all these and contacted “Libearty”.
In June 2007, the two 5 year old bears were confiscated and released in the oak forest of the Sanctuary. Here they have plenty of food, water and space to enjoy a normal bear life.
