Graeme woke up after hibernation and started digging. During his sleep, he had lost some of his weight, beside the food he is given he also uses his instincts to search for roots.

On the World Wildlife Day, Libearty was open for all the children. Over 100 pre-school and school children visited the sanctuary and were curious to know how important the animals are for humankind.

Libearty Zarnesti, the largest brown bear sanctuary in the world, will be open for all the children who want to visit it, for free, on March 3.

The bears in the Libearty sanctuary who have never felt freedom’s taste, learn it. After they lived a life full of grief in cages they could hardly bear, just to entertain the tourists, without any dignity, their instincts tell them they are wild animals.

For the safety of our visitors, the Libearty sanctuary will be closed Saturday, January 14 2017.

Because of the weather conditions, the sanctuary will be closed for one day.
