Gina - Asociația Milioane de Prieteni

Gina and Sofia are two sisters, born in early 2006. Their mother was probably shot and they were used like touristic attraction to a mini zoo at Bancu, near a restaurant in Miercurea Ciuc. Fortunately, they did not live there for a long time. In October 2006 both of them were saved from captivity and brought to Libearty Bear Sanctuary. Pierre Brice (Winettou) was the one who chose their names. Gina was named like this after a great movie star, Gina Lollobrigida. Gina, the bear, was born with a rabbit lip, but this doesn’t bother her at all. The little orphan has grown up now and she is very naughty.

Adopt Gina with a minimum donation of 5 euros / month (60 euros / year). With this contribution, we can ensure that the adopted bear has a honey jar every month. When you finish the donation for a year, we will send you an adoption certificate.

We appreciate if you can support a greater part of the need for the bear’s care. If you represent a company, you can adopt a bear exclusively with a donation of 600 euro / month. The company's logo, accompanied by the name of the adopted bear, will be placed in the sanctuary. Over 30,000 visitors will see that the company you represent is involved in animal welfare.
