Ursi
Urși and Bobiță are brothers. They were found in the forest when they were just a few days old and taken to Roman Zoo. There, they met Marița and Suzi, two female bears who made their lives a little easier.
Viorel
Viorel was born at Câmpulung Moldovenesc (Suceava County) where he lived for 2 years as a pet, keeping company for the hunter and his family, who killed his mother.
Mitsi
In November 2006, Mitsi and Motsi were released in the oak forest of the AMP Libearty sanctuary.
Ina
For 20 years, Ina had only half a pool, half a shelter and half the space to roam.
Jean
Jean is one of Kati and Doru’s babies who were born at a zoo in Caracal (Olt County) in 2001. He spent about 7 years in captivity.
Jofi
Jofi lived for six years in a “cell”, innocently sentenced to a heaven full of bars. She arrived at the sanctuary in 2007.
Mary
Mary is one of the two bears, imprisoned in cages at the “Lutsch 2000” Gas Station in Sibiu County.
Cocolina
Cocolina lived encaged in the same zoo in Tecuci (Galati County), where Nadia and Igor lived. The presence of the two bears made her captivity easier to bare.
Andi
Until the end of June 2014, Andi was a bear without a name. He was the first bear to come to us not from captivity, but directly from the wild.
Attila
Attila spent the first years of his life at a circus in Bârlad, where he met Fiona. He didn’t know at that moment that they will be friends forever.
Baloo
Baloo is the oldest of the 5 captive bears who used to live in a Mini Zoo, near a Restaurant in Bancu, Harghita county.
Boris
