The bears in the Libearty sanctuary relax for Christmas
The bears have prepared a party with Santa’s reindeer for the Christmas Eve. Thus, on December 25th, they will be very tired! We will let them sleep and rest, but we reopen the sanctuary on Wednesday, December 26th 2018.

BIG SEE Awards: Libearty, the only Romanian attraction awarded at the Month of Design
The Libearty sanctuary in Zărnești received the BIG SEE Tourism Award. The sanctuary and its initiator, Cristina Lapis, were awarded in the “Creative story and identity as an experience“, in a ceremony that happened in Ljubljana.

A 12-year-old boy made a wonderful gesture for the bears in the Libearty Sanctuary! Both Grigore and his parents got close to our furries in the reserve after visiting the sanctuary on several occasions.

Max, one of the most beloved bears at Libearty, is passing through a very painful period. The 10 years spent on the cold concrete near the Peleș Castle, without the right to walk or move at his own will, are showing their marks on his actual health.
