🐾 AMP welcomes the initiative of the Romanian Government to submit a law project aimed at establishing the Animal Police. Institutions like this operate in many European countries with remarkable results and such a model can be successfully adapted and implemented in Romania.
🐾 For 25 years, AMP has dedicated its work to identifying cases of abuse, rescue and medical care for endangered wild and domestic animals. We have managed, with immense efforts, to involve the authorities, sometimes conditioned by cumbersome actions because of the laws, in our rescue efforts.
🐾We managed to restore the right to life in the natural environment, in the AMP Libearty Sanctuary, for over 130 bears. They previously were held captive, in conditions that are very difficult to imagine. More than 30,000 dogs were rescued by us. They were then adopted or they lived in a decent pplace with a lot of care in the AMP Victory dog shelter.
🐾Also, our specialists have been and remain involved in countless other rescue actions for injured, abused or abandoned animals. Every time these animals were in private ownership, we asked for help and involvement of state institutions. This is the main reason why we consider that a legislative initiative aimed to facilitate all these procedures is welcome.
🐾Based on our experience, we publicly offer our support and advice for improving the legislative project announced by the Romanian Government, with the hope and confidence that, in the shortest time, we will have the Animal Police in Romania, as a functional and efficient institution.
