We wonder how it is like to be born among among scrap iron and – later – get to live like a princess? In a previous news we mentioned Sara, the dog with the fur soaked in engine oil, born among scrap iron at Remat Brasov. Being rescued by the AMP workers from Stupini following a sterilization campaign of dogs living on industrial platforms, Sara soon came to live the story of Cinderella.
After the engine oil washed of, she was cleaned, vaccinated and sterilized, the only 6 months old dog began to shine. Her luck came on Facebook, where Suzanne Christensen, an animal lover from Norway was impressed by the dog’s story.
Therefore, in early April, Suzanne got on the plane. On the Otopeni airport, Sara was patiently waiting for her. “An animal protection association from Norway helped us to make this adoption possible. The representatives of this association have made the necessary verifications at the family’s house and secured the dog’s accommodation in case she wouldn’t integrate into the new family. After preparing the transportation documents, I took her to the airport. Here, the meeting between the dog and the new owner was touching”, said Brândușa Popa, assistant manager of the Public shelter in Stupini.
Sara is now called Dina and “writes” still on Facebook, from Tønsberg, a small town in Vestfold county, Norway. “The transport went well and we smoothly passed the customs and the dog was happy to meet my family members”, says Suzanne. In the pictures, the Cinderella of another times, appears with the Christensen family same as in a story with a happy ending.
