We imagine that only people can enjoy the holidays. Well, the animals should feel the holiday spirit too. The bears from the biggest Bear Sanctuary from Europe received from Santa Nicholas, mandarins and oranges in order to celebrate properly the Winter Holidays.
According to the romanian tradition, the bears from the sanctuary prepared their boots for Santa Nicholas. They have been good this year so no twigs were expected to be received. Because the twigs were the only thins they have ever had during the dark period each of them have spent behind some bars, at zoos, in the backyard of some restaurants or hotels,in circis arenas. Mockery, lacks, cold, thirst and hunger – „twigs” that have left deep marks in their minds , marks that are hard to heal. But all these have passed. Now they are OK, happy and have every reason to celebrate. They were verry happy when Santa came and brought oranges and mandarins, that he threw over the fence, on the path the bear paws have stamped. But not the oranges nor the mandarins brought by Santa made the bears feal the holiday spirit, but the snow, the snow flakes, the smell of winter and the peace of the oak forest, immersed in a deep sleep. For them, every day is a holiday starting with the moment they were rescued and brought to the Sanctuary.
