„Any living being should live in his natural environment”
The winter holidays are over for Martinică as well, and the teddy bear feels more…liberated – literally. The new year barely passed when his savior came directly from Bucharest to set him free from the chains he was held in, on the bee hive from the Real,- Hypermarket. Anca Mihaela Drozan, is 34 years old and she was designated by lot – the winner of the „Rescue Martinică” contest of December 2012. She was so excited that she came to Brasov, specially to rescue the teddy bear and to visi the Sanctuary from Zărnești.
Anca is an economist at a large Metallurgical Company and she came to a short vacation to the mountains. After making her shopping , she saw Martinică’s box in the Real Hypermarket. „I came here and I saw the box. I knew something vague about the “Libearty” Sancuary, specifically about the story of Maya. I knew that her story was the reason why the Libearty project has started, but regarding this campaign I found out only when I came to this supermarket. I was with some friends when I saw the tedy bear tied to the hive and then I read the details from the poster”, said Anca. She made a small donation to the „Millions of Friends” Association, putting the money into the bags available on the teddy bear’s box. „It is painful for me to see situations like these”, says Anca regarding the captive bears. „I love all animals, not only the bears and I believe that any living being should live in his natural environment. Not in captivity, not behind bars, not tormented, not for the profit of some people. The bear has an important role in nature and when mankind intervenes, he does more harm than good” says Anca.
The „Millions of Friends” Association would like to thank all those who made donations to Martinică’s box, and also for those who preferred to remain anonymous. We would also like to congratulate te other winners of this contest: Anna Maria Pasztori and Attila Kovacs, fom Brașov. They are expected at the office of the Association, to pick up their prizes.
