The short winter days are over and the bears from the Libearty Sanctuary find different type of activities, more or less common for us humans, to occupy their time. When not swimming or climbing trees, Mia is playing with stones. These are not any rocks. The young lady chooses her toys after rigorous criteria. The stones have to be of small to medium-sized, to be rough not to slip through her paws when lifting it, to be slightly heavy but not too heavy as not to stretch her muscle while playing with them and be absolutely clean, because the ones with mud on them would contaminate her cozy fur. But with the rock from the picture above, Mia seems to have some problems. Probably she was not very careful in the selection of this toys and she failed in terms of weight. She wanted to play with the stone but it turned out to be too heavy and after several minutes of struggling with the rock, the latter had won, and the defeated Mia passed on with her head high to the selection of the next toy. Luckily for her, there are plenty of roks in the san ctuary.
