Happy ending for the kittens stuck in an air duct – Update

Update: The last trapped kitten has been saved by the Millions of Friends team. After six days of trying different methods to get the kitten out of the air duct, after trying to remove a huge piece of concrete with a crane, the team managed to entice the lonely kitten in a bag with cat food.

You can watch the moment when the last kitten was rescued:

Two kittens (one and a half months old) were saved by the Millions of Friends Association team, from an air duct. The little ones had fallen in the narrow place, together with another kitten and got stuck with no water or food. Two representatives of our team had tried to save them, starting Thursday evening, although they had almost no access to get to them.

Because the narrow space made the rescue of the baby cats very difficult, our Shelter staff Oana and Ciprian David tried, long after midnight, everything they could to save the kittens. On Friday, after many hours spent trying to entice the babies with a bag with food tied with a rope, two of the kittens were saved. Their mother, who was desperately wandering around the area, was taking care of another baby. Now, she is together with three of her babies and hopes to have the last one beside her, soon.

The Millions of Friends team are  trying hard to get the last baby out of the trap. Unfortunately, people in the area threw  food into the hole, so the kitten is no longer enticed by the food in the bag that could bring him to safety. The kitten who is left alone is very frightened but we hope to rescue her in the coming hours.
