A good friend is known in need! Volunteer!

In the summer that just ended, several volunteers offered their helping hand in AMP’s shelter in Triaj. We had several young volunteers coming from abroad (UK, France and even Australia), but the real surprise came from the Romanians who broke from their time and put their hand in the pocket in order to spend some time with the dogs. Without hesitation, they put their shoulders to work, no matter the difficulties. Starting from cleaning up the paddocks, to walking the dogs on a leash, or feeding them – they did everything!
Csilla and Izabela are two young girls, both aged 23. Izabela follows a master’s degree in marketing, and Csilla has a degree in Finance and Banking. They are childhood friends and they thought to do more than having fun this summer. „We both love dogs and animals generally. We live in flats and we can’t keep dogs. I looked after the dogs living near my block since I was a child”, says Csilla, pointing out that “people shouldn’t do everything just for the money. Volunteering work gives you infinitely greater satisfaction”. Words are not enough to thank them for their efforts. For these girls mattered more to see the happy tails waving around, each time they would approach the kennels from the shelter.
