Once upon a time, in the bears’ paradise at the Libearty sanctuary, there was a lazy bear, called Leo! As he has breakfast in his den he doesn’t have to dig for acorns, because the oaks offer him plenty. Also, he doesn’t have to climb trees. These are the reasons for which his claws grew too much. So, the staff at the Libearty sanctuary decided he needed a nail care session.
The 27 year old bear was tranquillized and had his claws trimmed. On this occasion, the vet of the association, dr. Ciprian Cocianu, did a complete medical evaluation and everything seemed to be good. Leo is healthy and still has many years ahead to enjoy freedom and all the care that the “Millions of friends“ team offer him.
The only thing that Leo lacks, for the moment, is a loving person who would adopt him from a distance, to find out news about him and for Leo to know that somewhere is someone who cares about him!
Leo arrived at the Libearty sanctuary two years ago. You can read his story, here.
