On the brink of the grave, strangled with a wire and hit hard in the head. Although we live in the 21st century, not infrequently some people’s cruelty still terrifies us. About two weeks ago, Fram was seen on the street in Zărnești, barely moving because of pain. Some locals felt sorry for him and asked us to rescue him from a brutal death, full of horrendous suffering. Soon, an AMP team went to the scene. What we saw there was beyond our imagination. Fram had been tied with a wire rope and a wire that cut his neck. The wounds were a few centimeters deep, infection already present, and the pain had become unbearable. On his head he had a deep wound, as from a blow of an ax. The dog was very scared and he wouldn’t let anyone approach him. To catch him, he had to be tranquilized, and as soon as he arrived at Victory, he was taken directly into surgery. “It was very hard to remove the wire. Most likely he had it on his neck when he was just a puppy, because it cut into his flesh about three fingers deep, maybe deeper here and there. We had to find areas where we could enter and reach the wire so that we could cut it with special pliers,” says the AMP veterinarian, Ciprian Cocianu. As soon as he was released from pain, Fram became a very gentle and loving dog. and he’s now enjoying life. His second one. Hopefully, a better life than the one he lived before. „He’s still in treatment, and it will take a while until he’s out of danger. Now we clean his wounds daily, we put a cicatrizing spray on it, and we give him painkillers and antibiotics,” says Dr. Cocianu.
Fram is available for adoption, and can also be adopted at a distance, by those who want to help cover at least part of the cost of the treatment he requires.
