Distance adoption continues to be a success among animal lovers. And not only among foreigners. In Brasov, for instance, there’s a woman who takes time out of her busy schedule every week to work at the Victory shelter.
The relationship between Renata Todea and Victory began the day she adopted Alma through our distance adoption program, donating the money needed to care for the dog each month. She knew that she couldn’t take Alma home, but Renata wanted to be close to the dog physically as well as in spirit. So she started visiting Alma at the shelter. Every week, Renata walks Alma, feeds her, and plays with her for hours.
Renata works in banking. Although she has a stressful life, nothing stops her from coming to Victory on Saturdays to help care for Alma and other 600 dogs living at the shelter.
An example worthy of following for everyone who loves animals…
