Unconscious and indifferent people amaze us again. This time, it’s a local woman from Bod, a village near Brasov. For years, the woman kept her dog on a chain barely two meters long. In search of a bit of freedom, he pulled at the chain, developing deep wounds on his neck. The wounds became infected. He was slowly dying, alive, in agony…
It was a sad scene, discovered by the AMP emergency team, in the yard where the dog lived only to die. Crazed with grief, the dog became very aggressive and wouldn’t let anyone get close to him. The chain, already embedded deep in his neck muscles, couldn’t be removed until he was completely sedated. Right after removing the chain, the AMP vet began cleaning and treating the wounds with antibiotics. The dog will need long-term treatment to overcome the physical effects of the cruelty he suffered at the hands of his owner. His psychological wounds can hardly be forgotten, though — inflicted by the person who should have given him her love and a normal life.
