Cleo has just turned seven months old when she was found by a hunter, near a forestry road with her right rear leg caught in a trap. She was hurt and she was crying like a baby. The hunter took pity on her and contacted the “Libearty” Bear Sanctuary who accepted immediately to take over and care for the bear. Cleo was urgently operated at the clinic of dr. Liviu Harbuz from Bucharest, and the veterinarians have done everything possible to save her wounded paw.
Each spring and autumn, the orphaned bear cubs after a hunting party find their end in different traps – the ones spread by hunters, the ones from the road and rail traffic, e.t.c. Cleo is fighting for their rescue and treating.
