Doe trapped between two walls

A doe of about 100 kilograms was on the verge of dying of cold and hunger, trapped between two walls that are less than half a meter apart and almost 10 meters long. It all happened at midnight, in Săcele, a locality near Brasov. The owners of a house at the edge of the forest, situated on Doe Street, were awakened at midnight by loud noises and barking dogs. When they went outside to see what was happening, they saw a doe trapped between the wall of their house and the neighbors’ fence.

The homeowners hoped she would be able to free herself. But when dawn came, they saw that the animal was still there and called AMP for help. A team immediately went to the scene. The condition of the doe wasn’t good.. She had wounded herself trying desperately to release herself and escape from the dogs, and she was bleeding. “When we got there we found her wounded, stuck between two walls and very scared. She had cuts on her hind legs, her back, and one of her front legs. We tried to push her and make her back out, but we didn’t succeed,” says AMP’s veterinarian, Ciprian Cocianu. The only way to rescue the doe was to tranquilize her. Once she was asleep, her wounds were stitched and she was treated with painkillers and antibiotics. The doe was transported by car to a place that was safe for her, where she was released back to the forest.
