29 scouts from France worked, for three days, together with the employees of the public dog shelter in Brasov, to improve a terrain that will be used as a playground for the dogs.
The youngsters (16-22 years old), helped with the cleaning and feeding the dogs, but also worked for the future playground. The scouts found out about the needs of the shelter from the Millions of Friends Association, that co-administers the shelter, and chose to volunteer here. They say that they learned new things during this trip, that included Austria and Hungary and will also include Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia and Serbia. As in France there are no stray dogs, volunteering in the dog shelter was a great experience.
Their journey started on the 6th of July and will end on the 27th. The money for this, approximately 15.000 euros were collected after selling cookies and other things they made, in France .
