Master of the house gets free massage

Beethoven is one of the lucky dogs who found a home after being cared for at the Victory shelter in Triaj. His new owner is not just any owner—he’s a resident of Brasov whose profession is dog-masseur. So… Beethoven is spoiled every day with a professional massage. Between massages, he’s become… the master of the house, as his adopters confess. “We had just moved from an apartment to a house, and we obviously wanted a dog. My wife grew up in the countryside, and it was important for her to hear the “heavy” barking of a “country” dog in the backyard. We tried first to look for breed dogs on the Internet, but we heard that many people had adopted dogs from the shelter and they were very pleased,” says Adrian. Thus, the man and his wife headed for the Victory dog-shelter in Triaj. First, they stopped to walk another dog. ”She was okay, but it felt like something was missing. We walked around the shelter to see other dogs in the back-pens, and suddenly we saw Beethoven. After my wife heard him barking, I knew we would take him home. It was love at first sight, and since he’s been with us this love has changed into real love,” says Adrian.

Although Beethoven lived at the shelter for a long time and his past is unknown, he behaves like an educated dog. He sits down on command and warns his owners with his paw when he wants to ask them for something. He’s not just any dog now, but a family member. “It’s a cliché, but we just can’t remember how our life was before. We love everything about him. His eyes, his muzzle, his spoiled child behavior, the joy with which he welcomes us when we get home. We couldn’t give up on him. Who could give up on his child?” asks Adrian.
