The newest friend of bears is the Cramele Halewood. The wine producer – which is also the largest exporter of bottled wine in Romania –recently formed a partnership with AMP. Under this partnership, part of the proceeds from the sale of the wine varieties from the "La umbra" range, is diverted to protect the brown bears in the Libearty sanctuary. The consumers of this brand are advised – by a a message from the bottle label – that by consuming this product they target a part of the profit to the Libearty Bear Sanctuary.
The partnership started in autumn, after the Muntean family, visited the sanctuary. „It’s a beautiful and generous project, and bears deserve to live this life at the sanctuary, so we decided to support the association's efforts," said Dan Muntean, general manager of Cramele Halewood. The first donation of 1,200 euros was made at the sanctuary’s opening ceremony, where a special "La umbra" wine tasting took place.
The range La umbra was created for the highly demanding and mature market in the UK and is enjoying a great success. The quality of these wines is confirmed by the multitude of medals achived in prestigious international competitions.
On the internal market, the “La umbra” wines can be purchased only from the Halewood shops – The Winery Outlet from Bucharest, Ploieşti, DN1 Breaza-Nistoreşti, Sinaia, Azuga, Braşov, Sibiu, Târgovişte, Piteşti, Urlaţi and Constanţa.
