The Olympic pool from the third enclosure

During the entire summer, our furry friends from the sanctuary enjoy the grass, the green trees, and the water from the pools that have been specially constructed for them. Until now, the bears have had 13 pools at their disposal. And now they have one more, in the third enclosure. Made of concrete, with drain and overflow pipes for permanent recirculated and clean water, the pool has already turned into a relaxation and play center for nearly 20 bears that have permanently settled down in the 10 hectare enclosure. The water surface has 300 square feet and the maximum depth of the pool is 3 meters. For its construction, 50 cubic meters of concrete were used. In fact, the whole supply system of the pool is an ingenious one. In all 14 natural or artificial pools at the sanctuary, water is continuously circulated back on the cascade principle. Between enclosures, the water is decanted and naturally purified by ponds. Each year, the pools are emptied and cleaned. Anxious for a hearty splash in the warm days of late May, our furry friends went swimming once the pool was filled with fresh water and enjoyed the new construction designed specifically for them.
