Starting from the 22 of March 2013, Adrian Sitaru’s comedy, „Domestic”, will answer the curious question „How does baked love taste like? “. The movie speaks about a sort of Noah’s Ark on vertical, placed on the floors of a building where neighbors and their animals develop complicated connections. „Domestic”, Adrian Sitaru’s third feature after „Sportive Fishing” (2008) and „From love with best intentions” (2011), both awarded on several renowned festivals, it is a comedy about „people eating the animals they love and the animals who love people unconditionally”. The protagonists are some neighbors in a block and some nice pet tenants: a rabbit, a chicken, a cat, a dog and a pigeon.
The cast includes Adrian Titieni and his daughter, Ariadna Titieni (12 years old), Gheorghe Ifrim, Clara Vodă, Ioana Flora, Sergiu Costache and Dan Hurduc (9 years old). „I wanted a simple movie, funny but also touching. Largely inspired by childhood, the film is based on several stories with domestic animals (and not only), children and their parents. Let’s take a look around us: how many people are in parks and on streets with animals, how many of our neighbors have at least an aquarium or a parrot, look how present the animals are in our lifes, in TV commercials, songs, names, stories, movies, internet. I think we have a great need of animals and they also need us, here I have realized how much we love and we eat at the same time, literally, our animals”, says Adrian Sitaru the director.
