Libearty -source of inspiration for research!

Libearty – the largest brown bear sanctuary in the world, declared the most ethical sanctuary by National Geographic Traveler is now also a source of inspiration for research!

Students from universities in the country and abroad are increasingly requesting information about Million Friends Association projects, come to visit the sanctuary and discuss with the staff  about the topics they want to address in their research works.

Whether it is young people who study the environment and love nature, veterinary students or young people who have understood how important it is to take care of our values and help nature by conserving animal and plant species, their enthusiasm and desire of involvement in the reconstruction of the balance between man and nature (things that generations of Romanians have ignored for years) can only make us happy and push us to support them in their endeavors.

Daria Ioana Rusu, student in the third year of the Faculty of Law at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca is one of these young people. Close to the Millions of Friends Association through her parents since childhood, even volunteered at the beginning of her studies, Daria used her knowledge of the environment and law, creating a work cataloged in the faculty as a reference for a student.

On the other hand ( as it resulted from the presentation) the sanctuary, in terms of legal organization and animal protection performances, was considered to be one of the most important in the field, not only in the country but also in the whole Europe.

The project was presented to the subject of environmental law, coordinated by Professor Veronica Rebreanu.
