Winter is not like summer. It’s “cooler”!

While the sanctuary cars remained stucked in the snow, the young bears were running through the third enclosure. They did not need “car-chains”, as Mother Nature provided them with wheel drive 4×4 paws. They did not care that the snow hardly gave path to the plow or that the fuel freezes in the diesel tanks, same as the hands of the caretakers froze on the shovels. Although this winter was not as tough as last year, it still tripped the sanctuary team: sorting the food can become a torment, roads turn into ice rinks, the machines hardly start after the cold night and avidly consume more fuel.
But the Sanctuary caregivers forget about all difficulties when they pass by the third enclosure. Here, the bears are offering a great show, as if made in spite for those who have to work. They wallow, stand on two paws and then slam on the grownd. They run away and then start rolling in the snow. The picture speaks for itself.
After all, winter is “cooler” than summer. For the bears!
