After more than 38 years spent in captivity, on concrete and seeing only thick iron bars, on May 19, 2021, Marta stepped on the grass for the first time and smelled nature for the first time. Until then it was just an inventory number, no name, no identity.

The first 27 years she lived in an area of about 10-12 square meters, and the next 11 years in one of about 25 square meters, at the Rădăuți Zoo. Now she has trees that keep her shade and where she can hide when she wants to stay quiet, fresh grass that is her soft bed for rest and has the company of her fellows, bear friends.

Adopt Marta with a minimum donation of 5 euros / month (60 euros / year). With this contribution, we can ensure that the adopted bear has a honey jar every month. When you finish the donation for a year, we will send you an adoption certificate.

We appreciate if you can support a greater part of the need for the bear’s care. If you represent a company, you can adopt a bear exclusively with a donation of 600 euro / month. The company's logo, accompanied by the name of the adopted bear, will be placed in the sanctuary. Over 30,000 visitors will see that the company you represent is involved in animal welfare.
