Muky is the only bear in the sanctuary that had to be put on a diet at the time he arrived here. He was rescued after 10 years of captivity in a small cage at the Balvanyos resort (Covasna County). He has put too much weight on as he was fed with inadequate (cooked) food for bears and had no place to move. When he arrived to Libearty, Muky was not healthy at all. Due to the fats his organism has accumulated during the years spent in prison and because of the lack of activity, his welfare was endangered. The association confiscated the bear in October 2010 and now he’s living a happy and healthy life at the “Libearty” Sanctuary.
This bear is not available for adoption.
